Creators! You've to be on LinkedIn...
How I built a brand there from scratch after deleting a 7K-follower profile.
Hey💖
Welcome to this new edition of Breakout Insights👀.
I know it’s been a while since we last communicated (there’s a solid reason behind that!)
Anyway, I’ve got a lot of news for you. Let’s start with the bizarre ones:
Microsoft laid off 6,000 people (one of them was an AI director).
Anthropic launched Claude 4, their best model yet.
TBH, this is just the start of the domino effect.
According to the World Economic Forum survey, 83 million jobs will be eliminated by 2027.
I’m not fear-mongering, but that’s the harsh truth of the time we live in.
AI is disrupting almost everything.
In this situation, your best bet is building leverage through a personal brand (as cliché as it might sound).
And, the best platform to start building one is → LinkedIn.
I know you might think I’m exaggerating things, but these stats will prove my point.
Not only these stats, I’ve myself tried and tested growing on LinkedIn.
I deleted a 7k follower profile
Started from scratch
Got shut down multiple times (because of verification issues)
And still going to cross 4k followers simply by providing genuine value to my audience.
In fact, I’ve gone viral on LI quite a few times.
I’ve also connected with some of the top 1% creators (one of them is Jasmin Alic, whom I really admire), I’ve received DMs for collaboration calls, brand partnership emails, plus a bunch of other exciting opportunities.
Now, the whole point of sharing all these wins is to tell you that → LinkedIn can do the same for YOU too.
You only need to build a profile and focus on providing value upfront.
I’ve already shared how to create a LinkedIn profile in this content piece.
Give it a read and you’ll get to know about some other crucial things, too.
See you next time:)

P.S. Are you already using LinkedIn in your content workflow? How’s it going for you? Let me know.
I use LinkedIn to post my posts that I write here on Substack. Most of my traffic between Facebook and LinkedIn seems to come from Facebook. I have heard a lot of people have success with LinkedIn. I know there are many opportunities here, I just need to study them more when I have time. Thanks for writing such awesome, informative posts, Ms. Sweta. You rock. :) :)
I have 13k followers on LinkedIn. I love it. But I’m not receiving brand deals left right and centre, maybe I need to work on this!
